International Women's Day | Celebrating Women Makers

We are so incredibly lucky to work with some amazing women around the world. From the industrious basket and textile weavers in Morocco, expert beaders in Kenya and skilled jewellers in India to our team here in Edinburgh, all of the women we work with have helped grow Bohemia to where we are today.

A lot of the women we work with are homeworkers, working in their own homes or together with other local women practicing the same craft. They are able to care for their children and households whilst still earning a regular income which, for most, is invaluable. The techniques used are often passed down through generations and we are honoured to collaborate with these skilled artisans to create beautiful and contemporary handmade goods.
